procedure
Every photo marathon has its own individual character. This is also reflected in the organization and the process. However, there are also similarities that are the same in every city.
- the participants register in advance for the event
- At the start, the participants receive the first part of the subjects to be photographed and are only given the next subjects at an intermediate station
- in the target area, all images are read directly from the memory card
- the submitted images are presented to a jury for evaluation and the best series are selected; Sometimes the organizers make a preselection (e.g. 33%) and only this is presented to the jury (e.g. Hamburg 2017)
- Once the evaluation phase is over, the awards ceremony takes place and the winners are awarded certificates and prizes
