Frédéric Lemaître

Frédéric Lemaître (* around 1965 in northern France ) is a French journalist for the daily newspaper Le Monde in Paris and an author .

Career

Frédéric Lemaître graduated from the ESJ Lille ( École supérieure de Journalisme de Lille ) with a diploma in journalism in 1986 . He started his career in journalism as editor of the trade union magazine CFDT - Magazine from 1985 to 1988. He then was a reporter and deputy editor-in-chief in the “Social Connections” section of the same medium until 1995.

In 1995 he joined the newspaper Le Monde , the most important opinion-forming newspaper in France, where he initially worked as an industrial reporter. From 2003 to 2007 he was editor in chief in the category Business & Economy. Since May 2007 he has also been writing editorials for Le Monde. From August 2010 to July 2016 he was the correspondent of his newspaper in Germany with an editorial office in Berlin . Since then, Lemaître has returned to the central editorial office in Paris.

At the end of his stay in Germany, in July 2016, he wrote down his personal thoughts about his time in Berlin in his blog at Le Monde, which were also published in an article by the Heinrich Böll Foundation , title: “I will remember it: Mine Time as a correspondent in Germany ” .

Lemaître is the author of several books, including a. Comprendre la mondialisation (1986), Les 35 heures (1998), Grands patrons, la fin d'un monde (2003).
