Good evening on Saturday

Good evening on Saturday (also “Good evening on Saturday says Heinz Conrads”) was an Austrian television program that started in 1957 with the title What is new? was broadcast weekly for almost 30 years.

Heinz Conrads moderated and designed the entertainment program until two months before his death in 1986. The legendary greeting phrase "Good evening ladies, good evening gentlemen, hello the girls, hello the buam" (in various variations) also became a trademark of the moderator.

Prominent guests were invited to the show, but it also offered a platform for the youngsters from the field of classical and upscale light music.

After Conrad's death, the broadcast format was continued by Peter Fröhlich for a few years .
