Early warning and response system (EWRS)

The Early Warning and Response System (Engl. Early Warning Response System , abbr. "EWRS") is a communication tool for the control and prevention of disease. It is run by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), an independent agency of the European Union  (EU), the EU member states (as well as Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) for the exchange of information on the prevention of communicable diseases Diseases used. These include B. tuberculosis, measles, yellow fever, SARS, H1N1 and a number of other communicable diseases.
