Francis M. Pipkin Award

The Francis M. Pipkin Award is a physics award that has been presented every two years by the American Physical Society (APS) since 1999.

The prerequisite is that the doctoral thesis is not older than 15 years and deals with research in the field of precision measurements and fundamental constants (natural constants). In addition, it has to prove itself to be outstanding work. This award honors and promotes young scientists whose research results contribute to the widespread dissemination of the results of this research. The prize money awarded is 2000 US dollars .

The award winners will be selected on the basis of their previous publications and three nominations. Any APS member, but not a member of the awards committee, can propose a candidate.
