Franz Kaspar Hierner was postmaster in Anzing and a leader of the Bavarian popular uprising of 1705.

On December 15, 1705 Hierner came to Munich with a dispatch to the administration and in the evening met with his friends from Munich, Johann Jäger , Weinwirt in the Löwengrube, Johann Georg Küttler, Weinwirt im Tal, and Georg Hallmayr, Bierbrauer im Tal. He informed them that the courts in Haag, Erding and Swabia wanted to stand up and raise 3-4,000 men, and that the survey was also being prepared in Tölz.
