Separate women's polling stations were set up to guarantee women the right to vote .

These were set up especially in social systems that place value on a separation of the sexes. Separate polling stations from Afghanistan , Pakistan and India are known .

In Pakistan, a minimum voter turnout of 10% of women is required for the election to be valid.
