Fred Åkerström
Fred Åkerström (born January 27, 1937 as Bo Gunnar Åkerström , † August 9, 1985 ) was a Swedish songwriter and singer.
Career
Fred Åkerström, with his inner and somewhat rusty baritone voice, was one of Sweden's leading singers since the mid-1960s. He was best known for interpreting songs by Carl Michael Bellman , and his interpretations contributed to Ruben Nilson's popularity .
Åkerström's most famous song, however, is probably Jag ger dig min morgon , a Swedish translation of Tom Paxton's I Give You the Morning .
In 1964, Åkerström went on tour with Ann-Louise Hanson and Cornelis Vreeswijk .
