Fredy Staub (2018)

Fredy Staub (* 1952 in Richterswil ) is a Swiss Reformed clergyman and journalist.

Life

After completing his apprenticeship as an electronics technician, Fredy Staub worked in an electronic development laboratory. He then attended the Neuchâtel Higher Commercial School (Lycée Jean-Piaget). After all, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of a medium-sized electronics company. In 1976 he attended the Church Theological School in Bern and began studying Protestant theology at the University of Bern, which he completed with the state examination. In 1983 it was consecrated as Verbi Divini Minister of the Evangelical Reformed Church in Bern. He then became a village pastor in Jegenstorf (BE). Today he is a freelance pastor with a focus on events, life coaching, writing and CD productions. He is the father of two adult sons and lives with his wife Liliane in Richterswil and Wädenswil near Zurich.

Act

Fredy Staub became known to the general public for his encouraging attitude towards satisfying sexuality. In 2001 he released the CD “More fun on sex”. Later he enjoyed laughing and campaigned for more humor to be found in the church. In 2004 he made a name for himself because he distributed money instead of collecting collections in some of his church services. In 2015 he invited 5 exponents from Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Christianity to an information event to hear firsthand and to discuss what the path to God can look like.
