Freedom of Mobile Access

Freedom of Mobile Multimedia Access [ ˈfɹiːdəm əvˈməʊbaɪl ˌmʌltiˈmiːdiə ˈæksɛs ] (FOMA) describes a third generation (3G) cellular network introduced in 2001 by the Japanese network operator NTT Docomo . Technically speaking, it is a forerunner of UMTS .
