Free Union of Workers of the Kingdom of Cambodia
The Free Trade Union of Workers of the Kingdom of Cambodia ( French Syndicat libre des ouvriers du Royaume du Cambodge , English Free Trade Union of Workers of the Kingdom of Cambodia ; abbreviation FTUWKC ) is a union in the Kingdom of Cambodia , which is mainly active in the Cambodian textile industry .
It was founded in 1996 and currently has around 60,000 members. The union president is Chea Mony and the general secretary is Mann Seng Hak .
The FTUWKC hit the headlines in 2004 when its then President Chea Vichea was assassinated on the street.
