Outdoor enclosure

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An outdoor enclosure is - in contrast to the cage - a fenced enclosure outdoors for animals in zoos or private gardens.

For pets it is usually a fenced area in the garden, in which animals close to the ground such as z. B. rabbits and guinea pigs can run freely. They are not covered as the animals cannot fly.

In the case of birds, one speaks of an aviary that is closed at the top.

In factory farming , one speaks of free-range farming .
