Isenburg open-air theater
The Isenburg open-air stage is located not far from the neck ditch of the Isenburg castle ruins on the Isenberg in Hattingen.
According to the Association for the Preservation of Isenburg, it was built in the 1930s and inaugurated on September 3, 1933. During this time, many similar stages were created as part of the Thing movement , but this stage is not related to it.
The open-air stage was managed by the city of Hattingen's cultural office. Events were also held on the open-air stage under the heading “Culture over the Ruhr”. It has not been used for over 20 years.
