The Robbesscheier open-air museum in Munshausen is a village museum and presents working and living habits in the Ardennes of Luxembourg, the Ösling or Éislek.

Exhibition space

The 6 hectare grounds of the Robbesscheier Tourist Center include an amusement park with an animal enclosure, parks and gardens. Local vegetables and fruits are grown here, which are used in the Robbesscheier restaurant. Beekeepers introduce beekeeping and honey production. Historical devices and machines testify to former rural life. Information is provided about the Ardennes horse breed associated with the region , which has served the rural population as a workhorse for centuries.

From the end of October to the beginning of November, the traditional wedding light weeks take place, which - almost forgotten - are gradually being celebrated again. Instead of a pumpkin , a fodder beet is decorated.

The traditional “Haupteschmaart” (Hubertusmarkt) takes place at the beginning of November.

organization

The museum is run by the local Clervaux Tourist Board.
