Volunteer award

The volunteer award is a prize awarded by the Swiss Charitable Society (SGG). It was awarded for the first time in 2010 to mark the 200th anniversary of the donors' association and is intended to «promote the voluntary commitment of citizens and make them publicly visible». The prize is endowed with CHF 100,000 and is awarded annually; The prerequisite for the award of the prize is a concept about the use of the prize money.
