Bümpliz cemetery
The Bümpliz cemetery is a cemetery at Bottigenstrasse 40 in the Bern suburb of Bümpliz .
The core area, which is more than a hundred years old, was supplemented from 1987 to 1994 by an extension of three urn walls, a watercourse and burial fields designed by the Bernese architects Ueli Schweizer and Walter Hunziker and the Bernese landscape architect Franz Vogel in collaboration with the sculptor Schang Hutter from Huttwil .
Since 2003, the Bümpliz cemetery has been the last of the cemeteries in the city of Bern to have its own abdication hall.
