Friedrich Kirchhoff (born July 11, 1890 , † October 1, 1978 in Iserlohn ) was a German entrepreneur.

Life

Friedrich Kirchhoff was the son of the metal industrialist of the same name. He studied mechanical engineering and economics at the Technical University in Munich, where he became a member of the Corps Germania in 1910 . From 1914 he took part as a reserve officer, most recently as Rittmeister of the reserve, in the 2nd Hanoverian Dragoon Regiment in the First World War. In 1919 he became a partner in his father's company, Stephan Witte & Co. in Iserlohn, which today belongs to the Kirchhoff Group, and which he managed as managing director until 1968. After several years of practical experience, he continued his studies at the University of Münster and received his doctorate in 1931. rer. pole.

From 1932 to 1973 Kirchhoff was a member of the supervisory board of Deutsche Babcock und Wilcox AG in Oberhausen, which his father co-founded, and from 1940 to 1965 a member of the supervisory board of Portland Zementwerke AG in Heidelberg.
