Frison (unit)

The frison was a French measure of volume for liquids. The measure was common in Normandy . For Lombardy the equation of the Frison is given.

  • Normandy 1 frison = 2 pots = 4 pints (Parisian)
  • Lombardy 1 Frison = 2 Maß (Wiener) = 2 2/5 Seidel
  • generally 1 Frison = 196 Parisian cubic inches = 3.888 liters
