Fry shoe
A frit shoe , also known as a filter crucible coaster , is a coaster used in chemical laboratories for filter crucibles with a frit . A chip shoe is usually made of hard-paste porcelain . Shapes exist in flat and round shapes. They have a similar structure to the crucible shoe and are used in the same way. They are usually turned up round and all around with low walls and have an inner diameter that is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the filter crucible.
