A Funkenküchlein (also drawn , donuts , Funkaküachle , Funkenküchle or Pfosen ) is a Donuts , which in the Swabian-Alemannic region traditionally for Funkensonntag is in fat baked. In Vorarlberg, Funkensonntag is also called "Küachlesonntag" because of the Funkenküachle.

The “Küachle” were baked by housewives towards the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century , especially for (poor) children who wandered through the village with motto to collect fuel for the bonfires .

The dough is cut into small round or rectangular slices and these are now constantly turned from the center outwards, so that a curved, thick edge forms on the outside. The round inner field ("window") remains extremely thin. These slices are briefly baked in hot fat and sprinkled with a little sugar or cinnamon sugar.

In Lindau , the kitchens were shaped like rings.

Lake Constance, the girls gave her lover after Scheibenschlagen radio pretzels , prepared from a sweet yeast dough with milk, butter and raisins.
