Remnants of the foundation on the site of the former Quickborn radio station

The Quickborn radio station was an overseas radio station built in 1934, with which the last radio messages from the Zeppelin Hindenburg were received in 1937 . After 1945 the system served as a remote weather reporting center and until 1996 as an agro-meteorological research center. The facility had six towers, each 67 meters high, which were dismantled in 1992. The DDH47 weather fax transmitter used to be at this location.
