Functional primacy

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Under functional primacy (primacy functional) is meant in addition to the concentration of population ( demographic primacy ) a pronounced dominance of a metropolis and administrative policy in the economic, social and cultural-scientific field in relation to other centers in the country. This overconcentration of central local functions is particularly common in megacities in developing countries.
