Furnius
Furnius is the name of a Roman plebeian family . Two alleged representatives of this family in the time of the former republic , a tribune Gaius Furnius of the year 445 BC. And one for the year 217 BC. Furnius mentioned in BC , may have been invented by later Roman authors. Only since the 1st century BC Historically secured members of the veneer are known. The two most important representatives are:
- Gaius Furnius (tribune) (* around 85 BC; † after 17 BC), Roman tribune from 50 BC. Chr.
- Gaius Furnius (consul 17 BC) , Roman consul, son of the previous one
