The future tense composé (also future tense proche , dt. 'Near future' , future tense immédiat , literally 'immediate future' ) designates a French modal time of the future, which roughly corresponds to the German future tense I. There is also the French future tense I , which is used in other cases than the future tense proche.

The future tense proche is mostly used to do something planned in the future or to foresee something that is obvious. In contrast, the French. In the future tense I mostly used to predict something that might happen or to decide something based on the action.

But there are also exceptions where these conditions do not apply. Among other things, the future tense simple is used in weather forecasts, although they will not necessarily apply.

The future tense proche is formed from the present tense von aller (dt. 'Go, drive', are used here as a German auxiliary verb ) and the infinitive of the verb z. B. Tu vas regarder .

* In French, on is understood as the German indefinite pronoun man (or the personal pronoun wir ), e.g. B. Qu'est-ce qu'on fait aujourd'hui? - “What are we doing today?”, On peut quand même faire quelque chose! - "You can (or we can) do something!" This is not a personal pronoun 3rd person neuter singular.

  • Example sentence : Je vais chercher le chat.
  • German: "I'll look for the cat".

negation

If the sentence is to be negated, only the auxiliary verb aller (the conjugated verb) is removed from the negative form - e.g. B. ne ... pas 'not', ne ... plus 'no more', ne ... jamais 'never', ne ... rien 'nothing' - enclosed.

  • Example sentence : Je ne vais pas chercher le chat.
  • German: "I will not look for the cat".
  • Example sentence : Tu ne vas pas dessiner un arbre.
  • German: "You will not draw a tree".
