Gößnitz (noble family from Plzeň)

The von Gößnitz, Gössnitz, Gosenicz, Gusenicz, Gessnitz or Gessnitczs families were a little-known Saxon- Plissnian , early-extinct nobility. Little is known about this family, who were presumably a line of the Reichsministeriale von Colditz . Their parent company was either near Gößnitz an der Pleiße or Gößnitz near Eckartsberga .

The shield from 1406 shows a bar that is covered with three birds (ducks or geese). The last known coat of arms in the Siebmacher was a three-fold shield with a hat in the colors and division of the shield, topped with cock feathers.
