Divine damned (English original title: Starcrossed ) is a book for young people by the American author Josephine Angelini . It is the first part of the Göttlich trilogy and was published by Dressler Verlag in May 2011.

content

It's about the sixteen-year-old, soon to be seventeen-year-old Helen Hamilton, who is the contemporary version of Helen of Troy from Greek mythology . When the Delos family moves to the island of Nantucket, everyone is absolutely thrilled. All but Helen, because when she sees Lucas Delos for the first time, she feels a strong urge to kill him. Later, when the blood debt has been paid, he explains to her that she is a Scion, i.e. a demigoddess. She learns to fight and to use her new strength. She and Lucas fall in love, but this love could spark another Trojan War.
