G10 (industrial nations)

The G10 (also Group of Ten , the Group of Ten ) is a group formed in 1962, ten (now eleven) leading industrialized nations. The founding members USA , Canada , Great Britain , France , Germany , Italy , Belgium , the Netherlands , Sweden and Japan agreed to make further loans available to the International Monetary Fund through the GAB ( General Agreements to Borrow ). In 1983 Switzerland also joined the G10, although the name was retained.
