The GIGA Musicbox was a program of the Cologne-based digital special interest broadcaster GIGA , which mainly contained music . The broadcaster's various network reporters led through the program with brief presentations. The format, which has been broadcast Monday to Friday before and after the live broadcast PLAY since the beginning, is the successor to the former GIGA Party format on NBC Europe .

Content

The main component of the program were current music videos and video clips of all music genres. Since the introduction of this program, the one-hour version at 3:00 p.m. has only been shown in music videos. In the two-hour 6:00 p.m. program, brief sequences from the GIGA studios were shown during the clips. The moderators discussed music games on a game console, for example.

history

In the initial phase of GIGA Digital and GIGA , the Musicbox was also broadcast on a morning slot. The transmission time here was 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. However, instead of the GIGA Musicbox, a three-hour format from the digital music channel Yavido was adopted a little later . All the titles of the show could also be read on the Internet. Ultimately, a revision of the program and the format should take place in the autumn of 2006 with its own moderation and fade-ins for the titles, but this no longer happened. The program was discontinued on March 19, 2007 due to an expansion of the GIGA program.
