Technical data and history

The GMC AC 454 is a General Motors Company military truck from the USA. It was used in World War II .

The truck has a body with a bridge. It has an on-board voltage of 12 volts. In the Swiss Army , the GMC AC 454 were given the designation Lastw. gl 3.5T 4x2 (all-terrain trucks). The Swiss Army had around 90 of these trucks in use.

In 1971, some examples were converted to wood gasifiers by Pius Lang from the "Military Motor Driver Society of the Canton of Zug " . The Impert wood gas systems were mounted on civilian trucks during World War II. Such a converted GMC AC 454 is now in the Zuger depot technology history .
