GNUstepWeb is a development environment and an application server for web applications . The software brings together data from different sources - often relational databases -, presents it to users via the web and, if necessary, changes it based on user actions. It is characterized, among other things, by a strict separation of data management, processing processes and user interface.
GNUstepWeb is based on GNUstep Base. He is originally from NeXT developed WebObjects 4.5.x compatible version. Apple's WebObjects is written in Java from version 5 , GNUstepWeb is still in Objective-C .
