GOSI

The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) is a social security agency in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia . Its tasks are comparable to those of the social insurance in Germany . GOSI collects contributions from employers and pays benefits to eligible insured persons and their family members.

The administration of the office consists of eleven directors, the directors are government ministers, employers and insured persons. The head office is in Riyadh .

The tasks of the GOSI are described in a text of 70 articles called Social Insurance Law , the text was enacted on November 13, 2000 with the Royal Decree number 199.
