Gabaleon

Gabaleon (Ital. Gabaleone ) is the name of a Piedmontese, later also Piedmontese-Saxon family of counts:

  • Caterina Gabaleone di Salmour (1670–1719), b. Caterina di Balbiano , Piedmontese noblewoman and widow of Giovanni, married in Saxony for the third time
  • Franz von Gabaleone , commander of the Royal Bavarian 2nd Chevaulegers Regiment "Taxis" (1691–1694)
  • Giuseppe Antonio Gabaleone di Salmour , nephew of Joseph Anton, later owner of Zabeltitz
  • Giovanni Michele Gabaleone di Salmour († 1691), Piedmontese dragoon captain, husband of Caterina
  • Joseph Anton Gabaleon von Wackerbarth-Salmour (1685–1761), Electoral Saxon cabinet minister, chief steward and envoy, second-born of Caterina, founder of the Piedmontese-Saxon branch Gabaleon von Wackerbarth-Salmour
