Gaius Rasinius Tettianus

Gaius Rasinius Tettianus (full name form Gaius Rasinius Gai filius Sergia Tettianus ) was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 1st century AD .

An inscription that was found at Asisium and that is dated to 14/68 proves that Tettianus was prefect of a Cohors Raetorum . According to John Spaul , he was prefect of the Cohors I Raetorum . Tettianus was inscribed in the Sergia tribe .

Remarks

  1. There were several units with this designation (see Cohors I Raetorum ). The inscription does not reveal which unit Tettianus commanded.
