Gaius Sempronius Martialis

Gaius Sempronius Martialis was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 3rd century AD .

Two inscriptions found near Miltenberg , one of which is dated to 231/234, prove that Martialis was prefect . According to John Spaul , he was prefect of the Cohors I Sequanorum et Rauracorum , which was stationed in the province of Germania superior .
