accident
The park gained notoriety after one of the worst roller coaster accidents ever. On June 14, 1986, the wheel construction of a car on the “Mindbender” steel roller coaster came loose due to lack of maintenance. As a result, the train crashed into a pillar and dragged on the rail. The train slowed down, failed to make the loop and rolled back, with part of the train hitting a concrete pillar. Three people died in the accident, one was seriously injured and two sustained broken bones. The remaining ten inmates got away with bruises and severe shock. After the accident it turned out that about a quarter of all bolts on the axles were no longer present and / or were damaged. A responsible person could not be found until today.
