Bordelaise Gallery

Bordelaise Gallery

The Bordelaise Gallery is an early shopping arcade in Bordeaux that branches off the main shopping street, Rue Sainte-Catherine .

It was built on the initiative of four South American dealers by the architect Gabriel Joseph Durand in 1833 and has been under monument protection as Monument historique since October 29, 1975 . It connects the Rue de la Maison Daurade and the Rue des piliers de Tutelle with the Rue Sainte-Catherine and the Rue Saint Rémi. The current condition of the historic building in a prime location (Rue de la Sainte Catherine is a pedestrian zone and commercially active) appears to be questionable. The passage is privately owned by numerous co-owners who find it difficult to agree on the necessary investments.
