Gambia Independence Act 1964

The Gambia Independence Act 1964 (1964, Chapter 93) is a law that was passed by the British Parliament in 1964 . It came into force on December 17, 1964. The law made preparations for the Gambia's full independence and admission to the Commonwealth of Nations . The Gambia was a crown colony of the United Kingdom until 1965 .
