The Game Science Center opened in September 2014. It is a museum and event space as well as a center for computer games technology with a focus on innovative input interfaces .

The museum is independent of government funding and is located in the Berlin district of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg .

General

The Game Science Center was founded by Cay Kellinghaus and Cyrill Etter, two former game developers, with the aim of creating a place where everyone can experience computer game technology first hand.

The exhibition includes around 25 exhibits (as of June 2019) from the field of computer games and graphics and sound installations by small and independent developers beyond the elaborately produced PC and console games.

All exhibits can be used interactively by the visitor and encourage experimentation with control through gestures, eye movements or voice. A main idea of the museum is to convey innovative concepts and the connection between science, technology and art to visitors of all ages.

The Berlin Game Scene organizes "Talk & Play" every two months, a meeting for independent computer game developers.
