Susan Mascarin (born June 28, 1964 in Grosse Point Shores , Michigan ) is a former American tennis player .

Career

In 1980 she was the ITF World Junior Champion . That year she won the individual titles at the US Open , the Italian Open and the Orange Bowl . When she was 16 years old, she became a professional player. On the WTA Tour she triumphed in doubles at the 1986 tournament in Phoenix . In contrast, she lost the final in Tokyo in the same year. The singles reached a final in Atlanta in 1982 , which they lost to Chris Evert-Lloyd 3: 6 and 1: 6.

After a shoulder operation in 1988, she ended her career.

Personal

Your family has Hungarian-Italian roots. She has three older siblings, a brother and two sisters. She married Peter Keane on September 1, 1990 and has three children, a girl and two boys. She graduated from the University of California with a degree in communications in 1992 .

In 1985 she was in a relationship with Boris Becker for some time .
