Gammlia friluftsmuseum is an open-air museum in the northern Swedish city of Umeå in the province of Västerbotten County . It is about 2 km from the city center. The museum is part of the Västerbottens Museum . Its buildings and activities are examples of what Västerbotten might have looked like in the past.

The buildings in the area come from different parts of the province of Västerbotten län to illustrate what it looked like in earlier times in the area of what is now the district. Between 1921 and 1990 various historic buildings from Västerbotten came to the museum grounds. You can see the former Helena Elisabeth Church, a manor house, a windmill, a farmhouse from the 18th century, a school and a forge, as well as a number of seed settlements. The original plan was to build one farm from the northern part of the province and one from the south. For cost reasons, the buildings were combined into a single homestead.

In summer, the open-air museum is home to horses of local breeds, cows, sheep, pigs and chickens, which can be seen by visitors. Furthermore, various activities such as buttering, flat bread baking, housework, handicrafts and various handicrafts and handicrafts are offered daily. The museum is open from mid-June to the end of August, and during the annual Christmas market. The outside area is always accessible to visitors. The name Gammlia is based on Gamli , which is a suitcase word from Den Gamla Liden 'the old hills'. The name arose from a victorious proposal for a naming competition organized by the historical society in connection with the completion of Gammlia.
