Gaoqiao (Kaizhou)
The large community Gaoqiao ( Chinese 高桥镇 , Pinyin Gāoqiáo Zhèn ) is located in the Kaizhou district of the government- direct city of Chongqing , about 337 km northeast of the city center.
In December 2003, a gas accident occurred in the city in which 243 people died of poisoning. A similar incident occurred in March 2006, when thousands of residents were brought to safety.
