Gardyne's Land , also Gardyne's House , is a residential and commercial building in the Scottish city ​​of Dundee in the council area of the same name . Gardyne's Land is the oldest known surviving residential building within Dundee Burgh . It was built in 1560 by the Balmerino merchant John Gardyne and his wife Elizabeth Kynnier and can be seen in various historical paintings and photographs of the street. In the early 18th century the building was increased . The Tayside Buildings Preservation Trust had the restoration carried out between 2004 and 2007. The clock from the neighboring building at 74-76 High Street was installed during the 2006 work. It is designed on a model of the former Dundee Town Hall that once adjoined Gardyne's Land.

The residential and commercial building is on High Street in the center of Dundee. The Grade II listed building 74-76 High Street is on the east side. The south-east facing main facade of the four-story building is six axes wide. On the ground floor there are business rooms with flat shop windows that are more recent. The facade is plastered with Harl . It closes with a distinctive, curved chimney that stands on the eaves. A passage leads to the back yard. The main entrance may once have been there. A fall shows the year 1607 in connection with the monograms "AS" and "PK". A rounded stair tower protrudes from the facade. The final gable roof is covered with gray slate .
