Garden calendar

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As a rule, a garden calendar is an overview of all gardening work and botany, sorted by months or calendar weeks. Usually provided with a calendar with notes and tables for practical use.

In the past garden calendars were only available in printed form, but in the age of the Internet there are also online garden calendars.

Areas of application

In the economic sector, the classic garden calendar is used less often, since gardening companies and other forest and agricultural operations rely on in-house production planning. Here, the processes are more likely to be controlled by routine and fixed production routes than individual planning based on a garden calendar would be necessary.

A garden calendar can serve as a helpful source of information in private garden maintenance. It lists gardening work that is due at certain times of the year and can also quickly convey to laypeople what needs to be done in the garden now or in the future. It also provides a solid basis for predictive plant breeding . Should the non-professional horticulture at a certain time of year certain plants and flowers bloom, the garden calendar provides information about needs when to begin the set and the preparatory care.
