The Gartner KG with headquarters in Upper Austria Edt bei Lambach is a freight forwarding - and logistics company, mainly international freight services offering. A large part of the services is carried out on the road, for which the company has around 1,950 own trucks available in 2018 .

History of Gartner KG
Peter Gartner (* 1889-1964) laid the foundation stone of today's company in 1918 as a taxi / transport company. Horse-drawn carts and dump trucks were the origins of the company. As a local supplier, Peter Gartner took care of the transport, delivery and sale of coal, gravel, sand and building materials in the area. Before the First World War he took over his uncle's entire trading business, which consisted of an inn and a raw material trade. Deliveries of straw, hay and clover, which were used for horses in the barracks, were primarily sent to the military. Peter Gartner was stationed in the Czech Republic during the First World War. After that he continued to trade and carried out the necessary transports.
