Rear Admiral Gary Blore

Gary Blore was a Rear Admiral for the United States Coast Guard .

He graduated in 1975 from the Coast Guard Academy and was from 1977 to 1982 helicopter squadron leader in the Coast Guard Air Station Brooklyn ( New York ). Between 2002 and 2004, Blore served in the Office of Budget and Programs . From 2004 to summer 2006 he was Senior Director for Border and Transportation Security at the Homeland Security Council . Vo 2006 to 2009 he was head of agency ( Program Executive Officer - PEO ) of the Integrated Deepwater System Program . From 2009 to 2011 he was Commander of the Thirteenth Coast Guard District . Blore reached retirement age on July 14, 2011 after 36 years of service.

Rear Admiral Blore has been honored four times with the Legion of Merit , twice with the Meritorious Service Medal , twice with the Coast Guard Commendation Medal and once with the Transportation 9-11 Medal .

Blore is married and has two daughters.
