Gas operating pressure

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The gas operating pressure is the operating pressure necessary for the perfect and safe function of a gas appliance .

This operating pressure is regulated by the gas regulator . While most devices in Germany and Austria used to be designed for a pressure of 50 mbar , 30 mbar is now becoming more and more popular. The operating pressure of the gas device (e.g. instantaneous water heater ) must be identical to the outlet pressure of the gas regulator.

Gas appliances supplied with the wrong (too high) gas operating pressure can pose a fire / explosion hazard or cause leakage.
