Gas cleaning system
A gas cleaning system , also gas cleaning system , purifier system or purifier is used to generate a high-purity gas atmosphere in an enclosed space, e.g. As a glove box ( glove box ).
Purification principles
- The gas is processed once by the gas cleaning system and then blown into the room by means of overpressure; excess flows out of the room via valves (high-pressure gas cleaning systems).
- The gas is constantly circulated between the room and the gas cleaning system and continuously processed (circulation gas cleaning systems). The circulation is ensured with the help of a high-performance fan in the gas cleaning system.
Application example
The inert gas - atmosphere of the glove box is continuously circulated through the gas cleaning system. Gas cleaning removes oxygen and moisture from the gas using a copper catalyst and molecular sieve . As a result, degrees of purity of up to <1 ppm O 2 and <1 ppm H 2 O are achieved in the box .
Depending on the area of application, nitrogen , solvents or just dust particles can also be removed from the gas with the aid of the gas cleaning system.
Gas cleaning systems can also be used for clean room technologies or for systems in microbiological or medical technology applications.
