from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A gas jet mixer is a pneumatic mixer for mixing dry, powdery bulk material .

construction

The gas jet mixer consists of a vertically positioned silo with a mixing device attached below. A filter is required to clean the exhaust air. The gas ( air / nitrogen ) required for mixing must be taken from a pressure reservoir.

Mixing device separately

function

The mixing container is filled from above. Gas is then blown into the mix through nozzles in the mixing device . The action of the gas sets the material to be mixed in a circular, upward movement, which leads to the material being mixed.

After mixing is complete, the material to be mixed is drained down through an opening in the mixing device.

Mix

Powdery bulk materials with a bulk density of up to 2000 kg / m³ and a grain size of up to 4 mm are suitable as mix .

properties

  • Due to the fast mixing cycle (1–5 minutes) and the lack of fixtures, the material being mixed is only slightly stressed during mixing.
  • The mixing silo can also be used as a pneumatic transmitter.
  • It is possible to add small amounts of liquids to the mix.
  • Easy cleaning as no protruding fixtures are required.
