Hospitality Statistics
The statistics for the hospitality industry deal with sales, costs, investments and employees in the hotel and restaurant industry. The hospitality industry includes the hotel industry, the other accommodation industry, food and beverage-based restaurants, canteens and caterers.
The statistics in the hospitality industry consist of the monthly business survey , which measures the development of sales and employees with the help of indicators and monthly, quarterly / half-yearly and annual rates of change. In addition to current results, time series on sales from 1997 to the present are available free of charge.
The annual survey provides structural information on the hospitality industry, such as sales, costs and key business figures, in the form of absolute figures. The statistical results usually appear in the period July / August of each year.
