Deprivation of thoughts

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mind deprivation is an ego disorder that occurs in mental illnesses such as schizophrenia . Affected people experience a subjectively external influence perceived lack of thoughts, also an abrupt "tear off" of their train of thought. Mind deprivation is considered a positive symptom of schizophrenia.

definition

The mere inability to continue a thought does not count as a thought deprivation in the sense of a psychotic experience. This can also be caused by poor concentration and absent-mindedness. The diagnosis of the symptom deprivation of thoughts is only confirmed if those affected report that others (e.g. humans, the devil, extraterrestrials, secret services, etc.) withdraw their thoughts.
